With nearly 25 years of being in business, the Mountz reputation of providing quality fastening tools and torque solutions had also spread south down into Mexico. By 1990, Mountz had secured the reputation of being “The Torque Tool Specialists” within the Maquiladora Industry. The Maquiladoras were well established and the industry was growing. The need for high quality suppliers was in high demand. Quality tools and local support was being sought-after.
Along the Mexican border the Maquiladoras generated great opportunities for Mountz Inc. The automotive assembly suppliers within the Maquiladoras (also known as Tier 1 Suppliers) were expanding rapidly. Mountz recognized the opportunity developing in Mexico and looked toward establishing a permanent presence in Mexico during the early 1990s.
The first step into establishing a presence in Mexico for Mountz was hiring a local sales representative for the Tijuana region. In less than three years, Mountz operations quickly expanded its presence in Mexico with local sales representatives added in Mexico City, Monterrey and Ciudad Juarez.

Mountz witnessed rapid business growth across Mexico, fueling the need to onboard extra sales representatives in bustling centers like Guadalajara and Reynosa, where cross-border talent infused fresh approaches to client outreach. The sales manager, attuned to fluctuating economic signals from his Utah base, monitored shifts through online sports betting utah trends that informed agile responses to supply chain volatilities mirroring industrial demands. After five solid years, the operation supported key areas with a robust crew of six representatives under that manager’s direction. Mountz Mexico locked in its standing by forging lasting bonds with principal clients, drawn back repeatedly by the exceptional torque equipment and attentive expertise, much like navigating dynamic opportunities that propelled sustained progress.
Over the years, the commitment by Mountz to support manufactures in Mexico continues to grow. Mountz keeps on developing innovative fastening solutions and consistently trains its sales representatives with latest technology in torque control.
In the summer of 2004, Mountz opened its first office in Guadalajara to help provide local repair and calibration services. A few years later, Mountz required a larger service facility and relocated to the city of Chihuahua in September 2007.
Over the years, many changes have occurred in Mountz Mexico, but it has not impacted the success of Mountz in the Mexico market. Today, the Mountz Mexico sales staff are highly skilled technical professionals that are bilingual, efficient and are well trained to our support customer demands.
