Helping solve manufacturing application challenges is one way Mountz differentiates itself from competitors. In fact, in the early days of Mountz, this philosophy was given a name inside the company – Customering (custom engineering for customers). This department was formed at Mountz to respond to special customer requirements, like producing custom made special bits. What we discovered early on was the need to help our customers solve those “pain in the neck” day-to-day problems that created a delay in production, a quality failure or just plain frustration. Our knack for coming up with ideas and solutions, combined with customers need to improve their processes, proved successful as our Customering department fast became Mountz Manufacturing.
Today we still maintain the same philosophy of taking on specials to solve customer application challenges. This makes up over 20% of total revenue.
Pioneering employees such as Chuck Serafini worked with customers to solve these application challenges.
